I am a fifth year Ph.D. student at Rice University, where I also completed my B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2008, and M.S. in 2012. I am a 2011 NDSEG Fellow. My research focus is Mobile Systems, however I have a wide array of interests, both academic and recreational. I am in the Rice Efficient Computing Group, which is led by my advisor, Dr. Lin Zhong. While the primary focus of the group is low-power computing, we explore a wide range of topics including human computer interaction, sensory computing, and wireless networking. In the past I have worked on social television, advanced advertising across heterogeneous platforms, mobile screen stability, seamless network migration, and extensive logging of mobile device usage. I am currently working on novel wireless networking techniques that leverage large-scale antenna systems for multi-user beamforming.



I am originally from Albuquerque, NM, where I attended the Albuquerque Academy. Up until college I was very active in various organized sports, and still enjoy playing them casually. In my spare time I enjoy socializing, particularly at Valhalla. As an associate at Jones College I remain active in the undergraduate Residential College system.
